I have loved babies for as long as I can remember. I started my first babysitting job 50 years ago and have continued caring for infants and children throughout my education and subsequent careers. I even spent one summer in college as a live in caregiver for newborn triplets.
I have a B.S. in education and taught elementary school for 6 years before starting a family of my own. My 6 children were all born in hospitals but the births ranged from midwife attended to a cesarean birth and then a VBAC. As my children grew I continued caring for children and babies to help with income. About 12 years ago I learned what a post partum doula was and knew that was the job for me. Since then I have concentrated on caring for young families but found such a delight in organizing nurseries and kitchens for the new families that I branched out. Now I organize for people with an emphasis on helping them distinguish between what they cherish and the clutter in their lives. My love of people in our brilliant variety has expanded my career again adding senior care to my repertoire.
